A stagnant weather pattern will deliver lots of rain to our state. Heavy rain in some stationary bands could lead to some flash flooding through early Wednesday. Remember, turn around & don’t drown…don’t drive through any flooded roadways. A total of 2″ to 6″ of rain is possible through early Wednesday morning! Rivers will come up to much higher levels with the expected rain amounts and run off. Early this morning: Occasional rain with patchy fog. Lows in the mid 50s.

Take advantage of a full dry weather day today! Some passing showers & brief storm will cross Connecticut very late tonight and early Friday morning as a warm front comes through. Drying out for much of the day with a scattered late day shower or storm also possible. Some slightly better news for the weekend as the heavy rain band looks to stay west & north of Connecticut and just a spotty shower threat here until the system drifts through with rain developing Sunday night through early next week.

Nice weather returning today except for the AM wind, pollen and very high fire danger. Clouds mixing in tomorrow with a much cooler shoreline temperature forecast. Some spotty AM showers Friday to a mostly dry day. A very complicated pattern now for Saturday PM and through early next week as a rude cut off low pressure center stalls and then moves back in from the Atlantic. This is a dramatic change and would bring unsettled weather for Sunday & into Monday.

Dry & windy for today & that will create an elevated fire danger. Warmer than usual with afternoon temperatures in the 70s to lower 80s. Cooler near LI Sound. A weak front crosses the state today with a spotty shower followed by slightly cooler & nice weather for Wednesday. There is still a risk for showers Friday & Saturday. Early this morning: A few high clouds & cool with lows in the mid 40s to lower 50s. A pretty sunrise possible. Today: High fire danger concerns with wind & very dry air.
