And Said Izzat Jaber, killed that same month, was a senior Islamic Jihad terrorist. If we zoom out to look at the whole month, it becomes clear that these are hardly the only casualties misclassified by the UN.

Multiple @nytimes editors have been informed that their article relays demonstrably false casualty statistics from Hamas's propaganda ministry. They are seemingly okay with that.

1/ For the record: @nytimes editors are aware of the passage that uncritically parrots demonstrably false Hamas casualty propaganda. This is a great test of the paper's commitment to reporting honestly on casualties more broadly, beyond "journalists." A test they are failing.

Anyway, how weird that the band that sláinte'd with raised glasses over the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust also endorses tropes about Jewish control of the media and politicians.
