A landowner has argued a Scottish government decision forcing it to sell a patch of overgrown ground in Fife to a community group was unlawful. Lawyers for Forthtay Ltd accused ministers of "apparent bias" towards Poet's Neuk over the sale of the site in the town's conservation area. Ministers said the sale to the group under land reform legislation was in accordance with the law.

Paul Webster was only 29 when he and his wife Helen decided to quit their jobs and "change everything". "It was very young for a mid-life crisis," says Paul, who is originally from Grimsby. The couple spent a year on a 4,000 mile walking holiday across Europe and decided they wanted to find a way to share their love of the outdoors with as many people as possible. And for almost two decades, they have run what is thought to be the UK's busiest walkers' website, Walkhighlands.

In 1930, at age 17, Winnie Drinkwater started taking flying lessons. She would go on to secure a licence as a pilot, a commercial pilot and an engineer all by the time she was 20 years old.
