WINSLOW — A barge strike broke a hole in a pipe that carried sewage from Chaffee Brook pump station in Winslow, across the Kennebec River to the Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District in Waterville. The accident happened on Oct. 22, and released 150,000 gallons of raw sewage into the river.
