I’ve started using ChatGPT as my work “wife.” Just think about the way powerful and creative men have historically used their female spouses to do all the mundane, behind-the-scenes labour that would otherwise slow them down. He stands on her back to lift himself up and shine, unimpeded by drudgery. I use ChatGPT in a strikingly similar way – not for creative ideas, but to handle time-consuming, brain-draining tasks that free me up to think and write more clearly.

There are plenty of things I should be doing today. Instead, I’m sitting at my home office desk, staring blankly out the window—grieving, despairing. Every major news outlet in the country is reporting the death by suicide of Virginia Giuffre. She was just 41 years old—a few years younger than me. She should have had many years ahead. It’s hard every day. “I’m not ready to be a parent of a teen”I’d assumed the mental and domestic load would decrease as they got older, but that hasn’t been the case.

“Three Little Pigs”, this was not. The exhibition was supposed to be a protest against the treatment of pigs in Denmark…then we learned what types of animal cruelty this work of “art” was set to involve. Far from the storyline of the classic children’s tale, three little pigs in Denmark hit the headlines over the last few days for a very distinct reason. Art. But is it?

As an experiment, I asked ChatGPT to select 4 of the most powerful direct quotes from a document I gave it - the transcript of an interview that I had conducted. I told it only to use the source material provided. All the ‘quotes’ it spat back at me were completely fabricated.
