1. IntroductionAdequate sleep duration has a critical role in promoting optimal physical health, immune function, mental health, and cognition [1]. According to consensus recommendations of the National Sleep Foundation and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research Society guidelines, young adults should sleep 7 to 9 h per night on a regular basis for optimal sleep health [2,3].
