    GREENSBORO, N.C. — The USA Pickleball Golden Ticket Tournament is expected to generate more than $2 million for the local economy. The tournament runs for five-days at the Special Events Center, according to the Greensboro Sports Foundation. This marks the first time the Special Events Center is hosting the prestigious event, which features 32 indoor courts and approximately 1,200 athletes from across the country. Organizers expect the tournament to draw about 2,500 visitors to Greensboro.

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — March is Colorectal cancer awareness month. Robert Drawdy Sr. is a native of Winston-Salem. Drawdy is a survivor at 76-years-old He was enjoying retirement until he had health issues in 2021 that turned into a 2022 colorectal cancer diagnosis. "I'm very happy and to be alive and feeling good," he said. Drawdy is a husband, family man and retired military servant. He told WFMY News 2 his diagnosis scared him because of his  family health history.

    GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro man said he saw a stranger steal his trailer from his driveway. He watched it happen live on his home security camera while he was away at work. Nathan Lerman said he lived in his neighborhood on Maywood street for two decades. He left his trailer in his driveway overnight on June 12th. He said his riding lawnmower was on it because he had plans to get it serviced the next day. Lerman never thought the trailer would get stolen the night before.
