Just twenty minutes from Venice, the Island of San Servolo is rich in history and fascination. Over the years, it has undergone multiple transformations as a result of the historical and social changes that have shaped its identity. Originally the island was occupied by a community of Benedictine friars, then it was later converted into an important psychiatric hospital. This closed down on 13 August 1978 as a result of approval of the Basaglia Law.

For the 2025 edition, the Salone del Mobile.Milano presented “Thought for Humans.”, an advertising campaign that celebrated and explored the deepest essence of design: its relationship with human beings. The project was honored at  the D&AD Awards in the Photography/Still Life category. Every year, the D&AD Awards in London celebrate creativity, innovation and inspiration in an advertising campaign.
