When Jay Johnson and Paul Mainieri meet at home plate for the distribution of the lineup cards on Thursday night, for LSU fans watching on TV, it'll be a symbol of the last 18 years of the program's history. Mainieri of course built a legacy at LSU over the course of 14 seasons in Baton Rouge where his teams were among the winningest in the sport. The Tigers won the title in 2009, went to Omaha five times and won 641 games over his career with the purple and gold.
