GLENN GUILBEAU, Tiger Rag EditorLSU’s bullpen could not hold a 4-2 lead in the eighth inning at Texas A&M and lost the game, 6-4, and the series, two games to one, on Sunday afternoon at Blue Bell Park in in College Station. And now, the Tigers (33-11, 15-9 Southeastern Conference) will be under some pressure to maintain a top eight RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) to get a top eight national seed for a home NCAA Super Regional, should they get by a home NCAA Regional at Alex Box Stadium.

GLENN GUILBEAU, Tiger Rag EditorLSU pitcher Anthony Eyanson not only won Saturday night’s game. He expertly set up the Tigers’ chances to win on Sunday, too. GLENN GUILBEAU, Tiger Rag EditorLSU basketball coach Matt McMahon has been looking for a 3-point shooter for several weeks now, and finally got one from a major basketball program in Memphis. But 6-foot-4 guard PJ Carter is unranked by the recruiting services and appears to be a mixed bag. LSU will be Carter’s fifth school since 2021 – Campbell University, Georgia Highlands College, Texas-San Antonio, Memphis and now LSU. And he has never been a regular starter anywhere.
