Security forces in Katsina State have successfully rescued 10 kidnap victims and neutralised a bandit during a coordinated operation in Musawa Local Government Area. The victims, six women and four men, were abducted from the communities of Kiroro, Kabbi, and Dogon Marke by armed bandits. Acting on credible intelligence provided by residents, the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (C-Watch) launched a joint operation late Monday night in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force.

Suspected bandits have killed four persons and abducted at least 45 others in Maikuma village of Dandume local government area of Katsina State. The attack occurred late Sunday night, when a large group of gunmen on motorcycles, armed with automatic weapons, stormed the community. Eyewitnesses said the attackers moved from house to house, operating for several hours before fleeing into the nearby forest with their captives.
