For most of her life, music did not appeal to Anastasia Coope in any significant way. “I very unseriously did chorus when I was in grade school and maybe middle school. Charly Bliss have announced Forever, the band’s first new album in five years. The upcoming LP is set to release on August 16 via Lucky Number Music. Forever features the band’s most vibrant music to date, centering itself around a sparkling and deeply emotive power pop sound inspired by the thrills of human connection and young love. Hippo Campus frontman Jake Luppen and producer Caleb Wright worked with Charly Bliss’s own Sam Hendricks to produce the album.

Before they even started putting together their latest sprawling, 19-track double-album, Hovvdy knew they wanted to change. It has been a decade since Texans Charlie Martin and Will Taylor met in 2014 at a baseball game. Both musicians were in their early 20s with similar passions for music and writing. Musically, they were drawn to each other while each wanted to pursue a similar style of lo-fi DIY project.

For Blushing, perfection was never the focus of their newest album. With recording sessions fitted in between work and the bustling nature of life, Sugarcoat was largely guided by the magnetic passion of the forces behind the band. Members Christina and Noe Carmona and Michelle and Jacob Soto drew inspiration from a rich, abundant environment of creativity amongst the group and the vibrant backdrop of Austin.
