    OLD TOWN, Maine (WABI) - The City of Old Town heard from residents Monday concerning possible EMS and police cuts. In their most recent budget, the city proposed cutting four positions from the Old Town Fire Department along with two full-time patrol officers and two part-time roles for the Old Town Police. They say due to the mill closure, Old Town needs to cut programs to ensure taxes do not go up. Residents came out Monday night to express their opposition to the fire and police cuts.

    BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Saturday marks the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, a historic holiday that memorializes poet Qu Yuan, who fought imperial corruption over two thousand years ago. At the Bangor Public Library, the festival was celebrated by Chen Chinese Academy similarly to how it is in China: with crafts, special foods and a game in the style of dragon boat races.
