Over 7 thousand watched 798 Husson University students take their first steps into post-graduate life Saturday. While Lynne Coy-Ogan has attended 20 Husson graduations, the 126th Commencement Ceremony marked her first as president of the university.

The Grove in Newport is hosting the inaugural Enchanted Dreams Fantasy Gala to raise funds and awareness for Rett Syndrome. It is scheduled for May 17 from 4 to 9 p.m.The event is spearheaded by local mom Laura Whalen, who’s 4-year-old daughter Adley was diagnosed with the rare genetic disorder two years ago.

HAMPDEN, Maine (WABI) - A Hampden third grader got a warm welcome home Friday. Colby Annis, 8, has been battling an aggressive form of brain cancer for the past year. Colby and his grandmother Cindy have been traveling to and from Boston for his treatments. Due to his current condition, Colby has stopped treatments and wearing his Optune cap.
