The Town of Red Hook has introduced new draft zoning ordinances that, if adopted, will place new regulations on cannabis retailing, housing density, short-term rentals, and more. The draft law further incorporates new provisions for subdivision in the Agricultural Business District (ABD) and would allow officials to lift the moratorium on applications to subdivide in that zone. The proposed ordinances amend various zoning laws.

Bard College has decided to establish an early college and high school academy program for students as young as 14 at its new Barrytown campus as it closes its Simon’s Rock campus in Great Barrington, Mass., Bard leaders said Wednesday. The move will bring one of the college’s most nationally esteemed projects, its program that allows high school students to complete two years of college study early and earn an associate’s degree by age 18, to Northern Dutchess County.
