Georgia Southern’s Arabic Club hosted their weekly coffee hour. The club aims to promote Arab culture and raise awareness about its history, traditions, and customs. This month, the club has been preparing for the month of Ramadan by preparing dishes from different countries. “Ramadan is a very holy month in Islam so Muslims celebrate fasting from dawn until sunset for a month. Or for the month of Ramadan,” said president Jenna Afifi. “It is a month in the Lunar calendar.

Georgia Southern’s University Programming Board hosted a “Wicked” drive-in movie next to the Georgia Southern practice stadium. Students were welcome to bring snacks and drinks to make the night even more special. Students brought blankets and pillows to make their night cozier. “I think this was a really cool event for students especially since this movie just came out recently and I don’t think you can watch it anywhere else right now for free,” said senior Emily Martin.

Statesboro’s Gnat’s Landing hosted their third galentine’s day event on Monday, Feb. 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Gnat’s offered customers deals on drinks in true flight form. “We kinda do it just for a fun little girl’s night up here and everything but everyone’s still more than welcome to come up and enjoy it,” said manager Jacob Harris.
