The Hamilton County Commission approved the resolution to relocate the Hamilton County Recovery Court to Hickory Valley Road after concerns brought up by District 6 Representative David Sharpe at Wednesday’s meeting. Tennessee ranks 10th in the nation per capita in domestic violence and 6th in the nation for domestic violence that results in death. "The problem is significant in our state," said Partnership for Families, Children, and Adults CEO Kevin Hyde. The shelter has supported more than 1,700 parents and children in its 40 years being open. The average stay for families is four to six months.

The Hamilton County government is working to respond to a nationwide recovery services data breach that happened in July 2024. The breach potentially comprising the financial information of Hamilton County EMS patients. Hamilton County has 15 more days to notify the impacted patients. In response, Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp proposed a resolution to relocate the county Risk Management Department to no longer be under the county attorney's office.

Chattanooga Area Food Bank CEO Melissa Blevins says the organization has lost more than $1,000,000 in U.S. Department of Agriculture funding, and Chief Communications Officer Jeannine Carpenter says they expect to lose $2,000,000 over the next couple of years.
