There is a “real hunger” for street art events in north-east England, the organisers of a festival have said. Elements is taking place in the Ouseburn area of Newcastle this weekend, with more than 20 artists from the North East taking part. The free event follows a successful fundraiser earlier this year. Artist and organiser Mark Shields said the aim was to create a platform celebrating artists in the region, while also being a “really cool event” for the public.

NEW ULM — The Art Wall Park is always in a state of change as new art is added. Recently a new group of citizens has stepped up to paint the park in the best light by eliminating hate symbols and hate speech from the area. The Art Wall Park, located at 221 6th N. Street off the New Ulm bike trail, is a place where artists are encouraged to spray paint graffiti art.

ATLANTA — A new art mural, visible just as you enter Atlanta, has caught the attention of residents and tourists alike. The mural is located on the sides of the Fireside Lodge, spanning the entire building with realistic nature paintings of lakes, forests, campfires, and animals, including bears, raccoons, and elk. The artwork was commissioned by motel owner Joe Lisa, who said he’s in the process of making renovations to the building.
