Such is the unhinged, hypocritical state of the world—particularly in the West. To speak the truth about Palestine—to name Israel’s heinous campaign against Palestinians as genocidal, and to stand with the oppressed and starving—is to risk being branded an antisemite or an extremist. The consequences of such perverse labelling are many and far-reaching: social isolation, loss of livelihood, deportation—or worse, total expulsion from public life.

The Ethiopian government, led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, is waging war against its own people—specifically, the Amhara. Amhara men, women, and children are being killed and arrested not for their actions, but for who they are. This is targeted ethnic violence. It is, therefore, genocide. The term “genocide” is inflammatory, but in the context of Ethiopia (as in Gaza), it is tragically accurate.

Just published: my latest essay on the genocide in Palestine. This is not a “war.” It’s mass murder, live-streamed—and enabled by global silence. Read it. Share it. Refuse to look away. https://t.co/05QAHoic5I
