DAYTON — A Rhea County Woman was arrested on Wednesday July 24, 2024, for multiple violations including drug and narcotic charges, driving with a suspended license and illegal window tint. Based on the arrest report on file at the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department (RSCD), Brittany Smith was involved in a traffic stop conducted by RSCD Deputy Thomas Wilson. According to Wilson, he observed a silver Ford Explorer traveling west on Highway 60 heading toward Dayton with dark tinted windows.

Rhea County government recently announced the hiring of Rhea County Department of Tourism Director Alex Meagan Fine. Fine was hired in June 2024, Rhea County Executive Jim Vincent said, and will be responsible for promoting Rhea County and drawing tourists to the area. DAYTON — A Rhea County Man was arrested on Friday June 28, for multiple offenses, including several drug and narcotic charges after a routine traffic stop for texting and driving. According to the arrest report on file at the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD), Curtis Lovelady was involved in the traffic stop conducted by RCSD Deputy Jesse Wilkey. According to Wilkey, he was parked on Delaware Avenue when he observed a white Ford Escort traveling southbound.
