Thursday night into Friday morning, star gazers will be treated to a total lunar eclipse turning the full moon into a rusty red color. This red color is caused by the refraction of light around the surface of the earth or "all of Earth's sunrises and sunsets". You will have to be awake in the middle of the night Thursday into Friday to catch the sight. A partial eclipse begins shortly after midnight with the total eclipse beginning at 1:26 AM. Totality will continue for 65 minutes after it begins.
