Megadeth was on a tear in 1992. The band released their iconic 1990 record Rust In Peace two years prior, and continued that hot streak with Countdown To Extinction. The latter contained some of the band's biggest hits, including "Symphony of Destruction" – a song that former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman considers to be kind of a pop song. In an interview with Brazil's Gustavo Maiato, Friedman called the song "maybe our first pop song" and I totally get what he means in that it's got hooks.

Pentagram vocalist Bobby Liebling recently found himself at the center of fame after a TikTok video of him just kinda spacing out on stage went mega viral. Now in a new interview with Altars Of Metal, Liebling said the viral fame hasn't done much for the band's bottom line as the tour dates they weere slated for had already sold out. Though more insane is the fact that Liebling needs a police escort at shows now, as he gets mobbed with people.

Vein FM's Errorzone is still unbelievable. What a modern classic.

There's nothing really memorable about The Shit ov God, and I don't feel any great urge to listen to it over a lot of any of the great Behemoth records that they've put out in the past. https://t.co/8mYKjGgMQF

Getting the Propagandhi record review done this week. I think my problem with this record is "Vampires Are Real" and "Fire Season" should've been left off this record. The flow would've been way better. Either way, this grew on me.

Behemoth review wrapped up (it's boring), working on Full Of Hell (like it) and Propagandhi (interest in this one slowly waning) next. But for now, taking a break and listening to one of the all-time great riff records – Kylesa's Static Tensions.
