With this article, I planned to report on President Trump’s policy proposals and vision for a better America in his address to Congress last night. That idea went off the tracks early. Oh, I expected the usual hyperbole and bellicose bragging he is known for. I also expected his regular truth challenges as he views the world and its events as he conjours them up in his mind. I won’t say that I was shocked by what transpired. The words sad and disappointed come to mind first.

Not to mention the muteness of the president’s cabinet when Elon and Donald told them when to speak and for how long.

Donald Trump and JD Vance embarrassed themselves, the United States government, and our country as a whole in a disgusting browbeating of Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky on his visit to the White House. Zelensky was in Washington to sign a shakedown deal originated by Trump to extort mineral rights out of war-torn, cash-strapped Ukraine. And Vance, belying his Yale education, resembled an uniformed lap dog who could not articulate an original thought.
