PIGEON FORGE - Dolly Parton was at Dollywood on Friday to celebrate the anniversary date for the 1986 opening of the theme park. Dollywood opened on May 3, 1986. This year marks the 40th season for the Smoky Mountain attraction.

PIGEON FORGE - The new MegaZip zipline has opened at WildSide adventure park, taking guests on a high-flying ride above the treetops with views of the surrounding mountains. Spanning 5,771 feet, the continuous zipline offers an uninterrupted, high-speed flight with a vertical drop of more than 1,000 feet. Riders soar from an elevation of approximately 2,472 feet down to 1,377 feet, with views of Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the surrounding area.

The festival continues through June 18 with more than a million blooms throughout the park and a variety of food choices only available during this season.
