In the case of Mavrakis v. Turkey (application no.12549/23), currently before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), the European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ) denounces the Turkish state's interference in the organisation of Greek Orthodox religious foundations. This case illustrates not only violations of religious freedoms in Turkey, but also a systemic government policy aimed at undermining Christian minorities. ECLJ intervened as a third party on November 4, 2024.

Le 14 mars, un débat a eu lieu en session plénière du Parlement européen à Strasbourg sur la proposition d’Emmanuel Macron : ajouter un « droit à l’avortement » au sein de la Charte des droits fondamentaux de l’Union européenne (UE) (cf. Inscrire l’IVG dans la Charte des droits fondamentaux de l’UE ? Un débat au Parlement). Cette Charte, qui dispose de la même valeur juridique qu’un traité international, s’impose au droit national de chaque Etat membre.

The Association pour le droit de mourir dans la dignité (ADMD) has been the main promoter of euthanasia and assisted suicide in France for over 40 years, but its history is little known. We're going to lift this veil a little, to show that far from the smooth, consensual image it seeks to impose today, ADMD is a direct descendant of the Anglo-Saxon euthanasia and eugenics movements, as well as the "humanist" international.

Le débat sur la constitutionnalisation de l’avortement est étrangement faussé, comme si l’essentiel de la question ne devait pas être posé. Du côté des partisans de la constitutionnalisation, on avance le besoin de se prémunir contre une hypothétique menace de remise en cause de l’IVG. Du côté des opposants, on avance des arguments juridiques. Mais ces arguments omettent l’essentiel. Ils omettent le fait même de l’avortement, et l’objet qui en est la victime.

On January 25–26, ACLJ’s international affiliate, the European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ), led a new mission in support of the Israeli families of Hamas hostages. With a delegation of survivors of October 7 and relatives of Hamas hostages, the ECLJ organized a series of high-level meetings in Madrid, Spain. This mission is all the more necessary since part of the current Spanish government, which includes ministers from the extreme Left, supports Hamas.
