1. Introduction An ongoing outbreak of a severe respiratory infectious disease called coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was discovered in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, at the end of 2019 (1, 2) and spread throughout the country and worldwide. As of 15 January 2023, according to the statistics released by the World Health Organization (WHO), there have been over 662 million confirmed cases and 6.7 million deaths reported worldwide (3).
