I have returned from a luncheon at the Newbury hotel, and while the rigatoni and chicken were no Contessa, I can report that the Boston tech scene is alive and hungry. This is one of my favorite days of the year — the day we celebrate the Globe’s Tech Power Players 50 list. We’ve reached the cold days of November, which means one thing in the tech world: The biggest, most hyped startup must be imploding. The goal of the original list was to celebrate the local tech community, and tell its story, by highlighting the biggest names and trends in the industry. This year, those names and trends have evolved. The theme for 2023 is resilience.

Congratulations to the Globe's 2024 Tech Power Players 50 - a ranked list of the most influential (and interesting) leaders in the tech scene. Here's #1: https://t.co/dFZZdzclMF

Been reading @ScottKirsner's new book "Innovation Economy" - it dives into what makes the New England ecosystem tick, from robotics to vaccines to sneakers. A lot of history, but also the future. https://t.co/lO6EjYDUUO

This survey of 100 businesses covers a lot of sectors (tech, robots, videogames, coffee, music, architects, boutiques...). 81 see some hope in economic recovery. https://t.co/hjC96qlzId @ScottKirsner
