Limitation There were several limitations that should be addressed. First, it is important to acknowledge that some patients had been undergoing long-term secondary prophylaxis with antiplatelet drugs, such as aspirin and clopidogrel, prior to their admission for cardiovascular or cerebrovascular conditions, and the use of such medications may have had an impact on the development of SUs. However, related data were not collected and may have influenced our findings to a certain extent.
