MEMPHIS, Tenn — Memphis Police have issued a city watch alert for a missing child they consider to be endangered. Cor'ea Taylor has been missing from the 3100 block of Beaumont since June 28, according to MPD. She has two braided ponytails and weighs about 103 pounds, they said. She stands at 4 feet and 11 inches, according to MPD. She was seen wearing a unicorn shirt with khaki pants and bedazzled Croc shoes, according to MPD.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — Memphis Police found a missing child they consider to be endangered, which prompted a City Watch Alert over the weekend. The girl had been missing since June 28, according to MPD. She has two braided ponytails and weighs about 103 pounds, they said. She was supposed to return home from summer school but instead decided to go to an unknown friend's home at an unknown location, according to MPD.

Highway 64 is down to one eastbound lane just west of 385 after authorities found a dead man who had been shot in the area. Deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said they responded to an armed disturbance call in the 12000 block of the highway towards 1 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle in a wooded area next to a business that was closed, according to SCSO. In front of this business, they also found a man who was dead that had a gunshot wound.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — With high temperatures and heat index again hitting the Mid-South, the City of Memphis cooling center is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2024. It is located at the Hospitality Hub at 590 Washington Ave. An emergency cooling center is a temporary facility for those who need to get out of the hot weather. The cooling center has limited services does not replace the services provided by a shelter.
