PONANT/Paul Gauguin Cruises welcomed a group of travel partners from around the country to Darwin earlier this week to a very rare ship visit of ms Paul Gauguin. AmaWaterways’ highly-anticipated, luxury river cruising world-first operation in Colombia, South America, was launched last weekend. The first of two purpose-built riverboats, the 60-guest AmaMagdalena commenced service on the Magdalena River. The core programs are seven-night voyages between Barranquilla to Cartagena (and vice versa), encompassing ports and destinations such as Santa Barbara de Pinto, Mompox, El Banco, Magangue and Calamar.

Abercrombie & Kent, Crystal and Cox & Kings all achieved record sales in 2024, and 2025 has commenced strongly for the A&K Travel Group businesses, says Cristina Levis, Group CEO. In Melbourne earlier this week and speaking exclusively with LATTE, Levis reported that global sales for Q1 2025 “have started strongly”, in particular for the 2026 calendar year. “We are well ahead of the curve already for Crystal,” Monaco-based Levis explained.

A&K Travel Group has firmed a date for the delivery of the first of its new build ships with Italian shipyard, Fincantieri. Speaking exclusively with LATTE in Melbourne on Monday, Cristina Levis, CEO of the luxury travel company, said the 61,800-gross-tonne ship would debut in May 2028. Currently, Crystal operates two ships. Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony. Both vessels were resurrected by A&K Travel Group in 2023 following the demise of the former owner.
