US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) already collects biometric data from travelers entering the country by air, but claims that Canadians crossing in cars now need to submit to face scans are exaggerated. While CBP is testing the use of facial recognition at certain land crossings, there is still the opportunity to opt out by choosing a different entry lane.
