    The Weavers of Alameda by Hadeer Elsbai is the compulsively readable finale to the Alameda Duology. Where was we? I always forget with series. But here, I had no trouble diving right back into the world, and that’s a big plus. I generally have trouble getting back to a world and getting comfortable with authorial tone, but this is a very smooth beginning to a book two, and probably a small part of it is because it picks up right after the shocking cliffhanger we were left with.
