The U.S. State Department has ordered embassies around the world to resume processing Harvard University student visas, according to a cable communication reported by the Washington Post. Last Wednesday, President Donald Trump invoked national security powers when he issued a proclamation that barred Harvard’s international students from entering the country. He also directed Secretary of State Marco Rubio to consider stopping the processing of Harvard student visas.

Harvard University amended one of its lawsuits against the federal government after President Donald Trump issued a proclamation this week declaring the school’s foreign students would not be allowed into the country. In a major escalation on Wednesday of his war against the world’s weathiest university, in addition to the proclamation, Trump asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio to consider revoking the visas of Harvard students already in the country.
