Lambeth, Hackney, Waltham Forest and Westminster boroughs will see streets transformed into open-air dining areas, thanks to funding from the Mayor to boost the capital’s hospitality industry.

Inspired by the book The Flavour Thesaurus by Niki Segnit, the latest menu explores the art of flavour pairing through the lens of cocktail families. The menu is split into sections - the Martini, Negroni, Sour, Spritz, Highballs, Fizz, Old Fashioned, Tiki and Mocktails - with cocktails labelled by their two key flavours.

Adam Handling's Ugly Butterfly restaurant and bar in Saint Ives will close later this month, the chef and owner has announced. In its four years, the Cornish restaurant bar - which led on locally sourced ingredients - won a string of awards, including the CLASS Bar Awards' Sustainable Practices Award in 2023, under the leadership of Josh Linfitt. Led by Kris Mclaren, the bar was a finalist in the category at the 2025 CLASS Bar Awards.
