Westin Hotels has teamed up with Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand goop to launch a video series aimed at improving travellers’ sleep. The three-part series, titled ‘Sleep Training for Grown-Ups’, offers “science-backed insights” into improving sleep and wellbeing – both on the road and at home. Gwyneth Paltrow is joined by sleep physician and research scientist Dr Cheri D. Mah for three episodes, which explore how our daily routine affects sleeping patterns and overall wellbeing.

A potted plant arrives at my table and, for a split second, I worry that jet lag has led to hallucinations. I’m sitting at the Mandarin Oriental’s MO Bar in Singapore, sampling its new cocktail menu, The Echoes of Singapore, which includes a section dedicated to future innovations.

Well-known London-based chef Yotam Ottolenghi has opened his first overseas restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental, Geneva. The Mediterranean restaurant draws inspiration from Ottolenghi’s ROVI restaurant in London, offering an all-day menu that focuses on grilled and fermented sharing plates. Head chef Maxime Martin trained in Ottolenghi’s London kitchens before the opening, and co-created the seasonal menu for the Geneva restaurant – combining local Swiss ingredients with Mediterranean flavours.

PPHE Hotel Group’s growing lifestyle brand art’otel is set to debut in Italy this spring. The 99-room art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio will open on 6 March, overlooking the ancient Horti Sallustiani and featuring interior design by Eyal Shoan of Digital Space. Inspired by the Eternal City, design details will include layered paintings, stonework, textiles, installations and several tiled terraces, plus the largest permanent collection of works by Roman contemporary artist Pietro Ruffo.

German hotel group Oetker Collection has announced plans to open an as-yet unnamed hotel in the famous French town of St Tropez. This marks the group’s 13th hotel in its luxury portfolio, and follows the opening of Hotel La Palma in Capri in 2023. Set between the town of St Tropez and the beaches of Pampelonne in Ramatuelle, both of which are a five minute drive away, the property will be built at the former site of Le Mas Bellevue St Tropez.
