People who walk for more than 100 minutes a day reduce their risk of chronic low back pain by almost a quarter, new research suggests. Norwegian and Danish researchers studied the impact of daily walks on low back pain in a group of more than 11,000 people, about 15 per cent of whom reported suffering chronic low back pain. Four groups were established, each walking less than 78 minutes a day, 78-100 minutes a day, 101-124 minutes a day, and 125 minutes or more a day.
