Perth is set for another exceedingly dry May, with the city this week recording its second hottest day for the month on record. The temperature reached a maximum of 33.8C on Friday, just 0.5C shy of the hottest day in May on record for the Perth metro area, set on May 1, 2002, when the temperature reached 34.3C. It’s more than 10C above the average maximum temperature for the Perth metro area in May, which currently sits at 22.4C.
