(Bloomberg) -- On Saturday in Monaco, RM Sotheby’s will offer the only race car that Michael Schumacher drove to win both the 2001 Formula One Monaco Grand Prix and the F1 World Championship title in the same season. Nicknamed the “Crown Jewel,” the Ferrari F2001 has an estimated value of at least €15 million ($16.9 million).

But one turgid addendum issued by US Customs and Border Protection just after his April 2 tariff pronouncement provided relief for those in the collectible car business: Vintage cars would be exempt.

In the past month, Mercedes-Benz announced a shooting brake version of its all-new CLA, but only for Europe, with more possibly on the way. Audi announced a fresh version of its A6 Avant. Volvo is flirting with doing away with them altogether.
