Stuttgart-Münster (energate) - The energy group EnBW has commissioned one of the first hydrogen-capable gas-fired power plants in Germany in Stuttgart. The gas and steam turbine plant in the Münster district replaces the previous coal-fired plant and will be able to run entirely on green hydrogen in future. However, at the official commissioning ceremony, EnBW CEO Georg Stamatelopoulos dampened expectations regarding the profitability of the H2-ready power plants.
