Sunday is Mother's Day, and many wonder what to purchase for Mom. Many of my friends are going to brunch or dinner, and some just plan a visit. Many will receive some perfume or a blouse. Perhaps a gift card will be accepted. Flowers are also very popular and beloved gifts. Today, I quickly stopped at Lou Farm Market for Cherry tomatoes for my pasta salad. Their selections of produce and freshly made food have been awe-inspiring in the last several months, as well as their prices.

There are no grand parties now, no talk of business deals ringing off the marble, no private chefs slicing Wagyu in the second kitchen, deftly separating meat from bone. The artworks have been returned to their temperature-controlled storage units, or else shipped to New York, Basel, Singapore; the supercars sleep soundly in their garages.

Let's talk about Delaire Landing Community. It is located in the Torresdale section of NE Philadelphia along the Delaware River. At one time, it was the best-kept secret in Philly, but it is becoming more popular. It is a gated waterfront community with many social activities. It also features two beautiful pools right on the river, one lap pool and the other a heated pool. In the summer, it becomes a tropical oasis for many of the residents.
