A Fort Worth City Council candidate debate was cut short Thursday after organizers and police had to physically intervene to separate two of the candidates. The altercation came after challenger Payton Jackson brought up a civil lawsuit against District 8 council member Chris Nettles, accusing the incumbent of conspiring with Jackson’s landlord to reveal confidential information from her lease agreement. Nettles denied the allegations.

Another three story apartment building could be built just south of TCU’s campus. Fort Worth-based developer West River Homes submitted permits to the city to build a three-story building at 3200 and 3208 S. University Drive, according to city documents. That’s just south of the Kroger grocery store. The development will have 15 units, according to the permit applications. The permit doesn’t specify when the project will begin construction or when it will be completed.

Screenshot The city of Fort Worth could give a boost to a years-long effort to build a Vietnam War Memorial just west of the city’s Cultural District. The nonprofit Tarrant County Vietnam Memorial Foundation is raising funds to build the structure in Veterans Memorial Park, which sits just west of the intersection of Camp Bowie Boulevard and Crestline Road.
