MILLIONS of workers will get a pay rise of £1,400 a year from next week. The Government announced in October it is hiking the National Living Wage by 6.7% from next Tuesday (April 1), and today's Spring Statement has not altered that promise. Chancellor Rachel Reeves has confirmed three million people will get the pay boost from next week.

LIAM Payne's pal who saw him just before his fatal balcony fall has made a bombshell claim around the the One Direction star's death. Argentinian businessman Roger Nores has insisted he had nothing to do with Liam's tragic end despite cops reportedly leading a probe into him. Nores said Liam was "playful, happy and fine" when he left him an hour before his Buenos Aires fall back in October. He told TMZ: "He was in good spirits, he was talking to 10 or 15 Americans that were here for a wedding.

PRINCE Andrew has broken his silence on the alleged "Chinese spy" who was a "close confidant" - claiming nothing of "a sensitive nature" was ever shared. A suspected Chinese spy described as a close confidant of the Duke of York has lost an appeal against a decision to ban him from Britain. The 50-year-old, who supported Prince Andrew during recent scandals and was invited to his birthday party in 2020, was properly excluded, immigration judges ruled.

A £50,000 reward is on offer to find a killer who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old schoolgirl while she was walking home from a party. Lisa Hession was assaulted and strangled to death in an alleyway just 200 yards from her home in Leigh near Manchester. Her body was found by a passer-by at around five minutes before midnight on December 8, 1984 - 40 years ago today. The teen had been walking back from a party when she was attacked, cops said.

PRINCE William will be tight-lipped with Donald Trump but the President-elect loves royals, an expert has said. William will meet Trump at the re-opening of Notre Dame in Paris today. The Paris cathedral has been restored after a fire tore through the roof in 2019 and destroyed much of the site's heritage. William is expected to discuss the importance of the US-UK's 'special relationship' with Trump, Kensington Palace has announced.
