Student activists have been out in force this year to protest at American universities. They are called activists because they are dissatisfied with the normal activity of our country's intellectual centers of research and education. Just as judicial activism means going beyond normal judging, so student activism means greater than normal interest in politics. "Normal" in our country is exercising one's individual rights within the law.
