Proposed modelFig 1 depicts the model structure of the proposed method for the identification of fish that live underwater. The improved YOLOv7 algorithm is used in the object detection module (ODM), which results in improved detection capabilities. The FD_Net method, which is described in this article, is implemented in the recognition module. This method makes use of a network for feature extraction and loss calculation.
