To celebrate the opening of its 102nd season, the San Francisco Opera treated guests to an on-theme Opera Ball that paid homage to this year’s new production of Giuseppe Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera, or A Masked Ball. The evening, organized by co-chairs Romana D. Bracco and Valerie Crane Dorfman, was dedicated to John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn for their extraordinary devotion to San Francisco Opera.

On August 22nd, San Francisco Private Dining Venues hosted the 8th annual Toast & Taste event on behalf of Compass Family Services. The evening featured food and drinks from SF’s best fine dining restaurants, along with games and auction prizes, with 100% of the proceeds going to Compass. This year’s event sold out with over 225 attendees, and raised over $60,000 in support of San Francisco’s most vulnerable families.
