Put more simply, she's accusing the official tasked with implementing the state's election laws of breaking those very laws.

Two advocacy groups - Count Us In and Women4Change Indiana - along with an Indiana University student filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on May 5. They allege that Senate Bill 10, which was recently signed into law by Gov. Mike Braun, is an unconstitutional "surgical attack on young voters" that restricts their rights.

In a five-minute video posted on X, a voiceover says Morales in his first term has "fought for secure elections and a thriving economy" for Hoosiers. Morales is running for reelection because there is "more to be done," the voiceover says. "There is still work to do, but together we will continue to build an Indiana where everyone can succeed, where our elections are secure and where Hoosiers come first," Morales, a Republican, says at the end of the video.
