    A brush fire broke out in Volusia County Tuesday. The County described the fire, dubbed the Powerline fire, as being West of New Smyrna Beach. By late Tuesday night, the fire had spread to 270 acres and was 5 percent contained. In a video from Chopper Two, you could see the massive plumes of smoke from the fire. Getting closer, you could see the flames and burning trees. A firefighting helicopter flew overhead, dumping buckets of water on the flames.

    A teacher in Brevard County, Florida, won't be returning next school year after the district says she was accused of using a student's preferred name without a parent's permission. The district says now, they aren't renewing the teacher's contract. Saying in a statement,"Brevard Public Schools (BPS) was made aware that a teacher at Satellite High School had been referring to a student by a name other than their legal name, without parental permission when the parent reached out to us.
