    Tavares police are searching for the people responsible for breaking into multiple cars in a Tavares neighborhood over the weekend. They may have gotten away with some valuables, but most concerningly, they took two guns. Keith McGhee, who lives in the Elmwood subdivision in Tavares, told WESH that when he got out of his truck the morning of May 25, he found it in disarray. "Every door, the glove box, the sun visors, all my stuff just all over the truck," he said. The thieves took anything of value.
