    Amazon has added to its portfolio of carbon-free energy purchases with a deal to buy 1.9 gigawatts through 2042 from Talen Energy’s nuclear plant in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania. The goal: to energize new and existing data centers in the region. The power purchase agreement announced on June 11 builds on an existing relationship, and it supports Amazon’s plan to invest $20 billion on Amazon Web Services facilities in Pennsylvania.
