LINCOLN, Neb. The Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo team sealed the mens Great Plains Region title following the Cornhusker College Rodeo in Lincoln on Saturday. What an awesome finish to a great season, said roughstock coach Aukai Kaai. I am so proud of the entire team and excited for the College National Finals Rodeo. The mens rodeo team secured the top spot in the region behind another strong performance from Kahiwa Augustiro.

BROOKINGS, S.D. Mid-Plains Community College rode away with the mens team championship Saturday at the Jackrabbit Stampede in Brookings, S.D. The women on the MPCC Rodeo Team took fourth in the overall standings. With all the traveling going on, the students have done a great job of making the short practice weeks count and using their time in the practice pen efficiently, said Keeley Vaughan, MPCC Rodeo Team timed events coach.

The Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team is off to a strong start for its spring season. The team brought home three championships from the Iowa State University Cyclone Stampede Rodeo in Ames, Iowa over the weekend. It was the first competition for the team since the fall season wrapped up in October. The mens team finished second, and the womens team came in fourth in terms of overall points in Iowa.
