    The health of the nation’s schools remains in decline, as reading proficiency plummeted and mathematics scores saw modest gains, largely owing to the impact of more advantaged students whose families often supplement their education, according to data from the 2024 National Assessment of Educational Progress, released early this morning. Only 31 percent of students in 4th grade and 30 percent of students in 8th grade are reading proficiently, a 2 percent and 1 percent drop respectively from 2022.

Homeland Security, Ground Zero, weapons of mass destruction, war on terror, anti-terrorism, counterterrorism, bioterrorism, 9/11 generation, and 9/11 itself. Some are old words and phrases that took on new meaning. Others didn't exist until after Sept. 11, 2001. All were used to help a country cope with tragedy.

    I think a lot about the importance of maintaining an authentic voice on social media. Here is what I have learned so far:1.     Be yourself. Authenticity starts with being genuine. Share your thoughts, experiences, and opinions honestly. Don’t try to mimic others or present a persona that isn’t true to who you are. 2.     Stay true to your values. Reflect on your values and beliefs. Ensure that what you share aligns with these principles.
