This report analyses the decarbonisation goals and climate strategies of Hyundai Steel. Hyundai Steel's current sustainability roadmap lacks details within its climate commitment and this may soon become a critical threat toward the carbon neutral plans of major affiliates, mainly Hyundai Motors. Hyundai Steel, a major EAF based steel producer, must expand its renewable energy usage and disclose its amount in order to set aside the disgraceful number of 0%.

Note: Standing Trees is one of GJEP’s Fiscal Sponsored Programs. The Rutland Herald reported that approximately 100 people gathered on Saturday January 11th outside the Forest Supervisor’s Office in Mendon, Vermont to protest the Telephone Gap Integrated Resource Project, a logging proposal for the Green Mountain National Forest. The Forest Service, after years of planning, had chosen to move forward with Option C, one of 4 alternatives.

The US Forest Service (USFS) is requesting public input on a proposed directive related to Silviculture on National Forest System (NFS) lands. The comment period will end on 10/15/24. In this proposed directive, the USFS is adding language* that would open the door to the use of genetically engineered trees on our public National Forest lands. This is an outrageous attempt to prop up GE trees after the attempts to develop a GE American chestnut tree failed utterly.
