This weekend, live from the Crucible theatre in Sheffield, England, Sunset+Vine’s Scotland and London teams are working together to produce the 2025 World Championship, which is the pinnacle of British snooker. Taking place from 19 April to 5 May, Sunset+Vine Scotland is first to the table with 19 days of coverage of the World Championship led by executive producer and head of Sunset+Vine Scotland, Grant Philips. He and his team will be producing coverage for BBC Sport and Channel 5.

EMG Connectivity is getting warmed up for the London Marathon, which will be taking place in the heart of the city on Sunday 27 April. Snaking through the great sights of central London, the race is posing challenges for the EMG / Gravity Media team, which is working out the final details for connecting cameras, bikes and even celebrity runners to the gallery for the live broadcast. The technical services provider has handled the RF and OB’s for the event since 2014.

The 170th Boat Race was held on its traditional 4.25 mile course on the River Thames in London on Sunday 13 April. Cambridge won both the men’s and women’s races and with these victories, it now has 88 wins in the men’s race and 49 in the women’s. Even though the famous Oxford and Cambridge university race is approaching its two hundredth year on the water, this was EMG / Gravity Media’s first managing the RF, with coverage provided by EMG Connectivity.

Rights holders for the Women’s Six Nations, which ends on 26 April with a head-to-head between England and France, have stepped up this year.
HBS and NVP take LaLiga production and distribution for first and second division matches on five year contract

HBS and NVP have been selected by LaLiga to deliver media production and distribution for Spain’s Primera and Segunda Division matches for five years from the start of the 2025-26 season. HBS has taken over the contract from Mediapro, which has been LaLiga’s production partner for over 20 years. HBS was selected by LaLiga to run its MCR and centralised services, as well as operating media for LaLiga EA Sports, and operating media for its second division, also known as LaLiga HyperMotion.
